SHARE Architects and The Union of Architects of Serbia announces the Serbia edition of  “SHARE Future Projects Awards”, which will take place on 29th September 2020 within SHARE Belgrade 2020 International Architectural and Engineering Forum. Projects can be registered for the competition until the 9th September 2020.

SHARE Architects and The Union of Architects of Serbia announces the Serbia edition of  “SHARE Future Projects Awards”, which will take place on 29th September 2020 within SHARE Belgrade 2020 International Architectural and Engineering Forum. Projects can be registered for the competition until the 9th September 2020.

Architectural awards are offered many times for what has been accomplished. “SHARE Future Projects Awards” will highlight what has not been released yet but will be – architectural ideas that find themselves in the most joyful stage for those who built up the future, labeled as the “project”. The awards program is addressed to projects from Albania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Hungary,  Romania, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, North Macedonia.

The international jury will propose and award the most valuable projects, supporting their development and drawing attention towards the near future.

“We will have the opportunity to observe and analyze the most provocative ideas that will come   to life through the efforts of those who initiate, shape, and raise them up.” - Florin Mindirigiu, SHARE Architects founder.

The first stage consists of the selection of registered projects on the national level by the commission of The Union of Architects of Serbia.

In the second stage, the shortlisted projects will be evaluated by an international jury during SHARE Belgrade 2020. The winning national projects will enter the race for the SHARE Future Project Awards 2020.

During the final stage, the winning national projects will be presented by two representatives of the office in front of a renowned grand international jury which will finally, select the international winners of the competition.

The projects can be entered in one or multiple categories as follows:

3. Residential Architecture

4. Hospitality & Interiors

Beta competitions

Beta competition is one of the main events with an euroregional opening (RO, HU, SRB) from the Timișoara architecture biennial Beta, organized by the Romanian Order of Architects – Timiș Territorial Branch.

Beta competition and its related exhibition supports and promotes quality architecture in all its forms and manifestations, being conceived as a relational interface both within the profession and between the profession and the socio-cultural environment in which it operates.

The competition is open to all those who contribute to the creation of quality architecture in the Euroregion (RO,HU,SRB), of which architects, urbanists, landscape architects, scenographers, light artists, graduates of architecture / interior architecture / urban planning / visual arts / design, engineers, IT-ists, public administrations, NGOs, sociologists, psychologists, critics, theorists, philosophers, photographers etc.

Participants can submit works realized in the past two years (finalized projects / proposals / projects that reinterprete the role of architecture, including essays on housing) in the following seven categories: 1.Built space, 2.Interior space, 3.Public space, 4.Graduation projects, 5.Initiatives / Experiments / Visions, 6.Essay and 7.Photography.

Registration deadline is 30th of July.

 The competition is open to the three neighboring countries – Romania, Hungary and Serbia.

 The submitted works will be evaluated by 3 teams of jurors – one for category 7.Photography, consisting of Laurian Ghinițoiu (RO), Relja Ivanic (SRB) and Norbert Juhasz (HU), one for the 6th category Essay, consisting of Anna Puigjaner Barberá (ES), René Boer (NL) and James Taylor-Foster (UK/SE), and one for the other 5 categories, consisting of 5 jury members: Vlad Sebastian Rusu (RO), Maja Lalić (SRB), Péter Klobusovszki (HU), Matevz Celik (SLO) and Diana Dina (UK).

 The Beta competition is taking place online, on the competition.betacity.eu website, available in Romanian and English.

IZLOŽBA STUDENTSKIH RADOVA U GALERIJI ZADUŽBINE KOLARCA: MUZEJ DUNAVA

Izložba „Muzej Dunava“ će biti otvorena u utorak, 23. juna, u Likovnoj galeriji Zadužbine Ilije M. Kolarca, Studentski trg 5, sa početkom u 19 časova.

Međunarodni dan Dunava se u Srbiji se proslavlja svake godine 29. juna. Ove godine, u susret proslavi Dana Dunava u Srbiji, Dunavski centar za kompetenciju u saradnji sa studentima arhitekture pod mentorstvom profesora emeritusa Branislava Mitrovića i Turističkom organizacijom Srbije, a uz podršku Ministarstva za trgovinu, turizam i telekomunikacije, organizuje izložbu pod nazivom „Muzej Dunava“ u Likovnoj galeriji Kolarčeve zadužbine.

Izložba „Muzej Dunava“ predstavlja projekte sedamnaest studenata druge godine master i pete godine integrisanih studija na Arhitektonskom fakultetu Univerziteta u Beogradu. Osnovni cilj ove tematske izložbe je istraživanje kulturološkog i izlagačkog potencijala reke Dunav u savremenom trenutku, kao i ispitivanje mere arhitektonskog delovanja u osetljivoj prirodnoj sredini reke, te odnosa budućeg muzeja prema ekosistemu, mikroklimi, dinamici reke i jačini njenog toka. Svaki studentski projekt obuhvaćen ovom izložbom je po sebi individualnog karaktera i specifičan po izboru teme, lokacije i prostorne intervencije.

Prilikom otvaranja, prisutnima će se obratiti predstavnici organizatora, Ministarstva trgovine, turizma i telekomunikacija, Turističke organizacije Srbije, kao i mentor izložbe i studenti – autori.

The Design Competition is a public, single-stage competition, open to Romania, all countries of the European Union, of the European Economic Area, and to the Swiss Confederation, organized by the Order of Architects in Romania, in accordance with the Competition Rules of the International Union of Architects – UIA.

INTERNATIONAL DESIGN COMPETITION

 

The Order of Architects in Romania (OAR), the Transilvania Branch of the Order of Architects in Romania and the Cluj County are glad to announce the official launch of the „Cluj-Napoca Comprehensive Transplant Centre” International Design Competition.

The competition seeks to select the best design solution for a Comprehensive Transplant Centre, located in the central area of Cluj-Napoca Municipality, within the University Hospital Complex.

The Comprehensive Transplant Centre will be part of the structure of the Cluj County Emergency Clinical Hospital. The project has a strong innovative character, aiming to design and execute the first transplant centre in the country that accommodates all the necessary facilities for four types of transplant: heart transplant, lung transplant, liver transplant and kidney transplant.

The project of the Comprehensive Transplant Centre aims to provide an example of good practices both in terms of medical architecture and with regard to the insertion of a volume of contemporary architecture in a historical, heterogeneous site.

The Contracting Authority is the Cluj County, the owner of the land and the beneficiary of the competition results.

The competition is organized by the Order of Architects in Romania, in accordance with the Competition Rules of the International Union of Architects - UIA - and the provisions of the International Recommendations for Architecture and Urban Planning Competitions adopted at the General Conference of UNESCO of 1956, revised on 27 November 1978, in compliance with the provisions of the legislation in force regarding the award of public procurement contracts.

The Design Competition is a public, single-stage competition, open to Romania, all countries of the European Union, of the European Economic Area, and to the Swiss Confederation.

The design competition is organized as an independent procedure, in accordance with art. 105 letter a) of Law no. 98/2016 regarding public procurement, and subsequently, pursuant to provisions under art. 104 para. (7) of the same law, the design services contract is to be awarded to the winner of the competition, following a negotiation procedure without prior publication of a participation announcement.

Rena SAKELLARIDOU

She co-founded with the architect Morpho Papanikolaou the architectural office SPARCH with offices in Athens and Thessaloniki,Greece. Rena Sakellaridou SPARCH PC is her independent architectural office based in Athens, a highly acclaimed architectural office with a strong international presence.

The very first building, a town hall, extensively written about and acclaimed, led to a number of major buildings such as the Extension of AUTh Library, the National Bank New Headquarters (Megaron Karatza), the National Insurance Headquarters, the Astir Palace Gate and Canopy, the Centre for Plasma Physics and Laser, the Academy of Athens’s new building design, the House in a Garden and recently Agemar; to many architectural exhibitions, among them at the Venice Biennale, Milan Triennale, DAM Frankfurt, NAi Rotterdam, RIBA London, as well as in Paris, Montreal, Tokyo,Barcelona and Moscow; to international and national design awards and distinctions, in WAF, Future Projects Awards, Domes and the Hellenic Institute of Architecture among them, as well as to nominations for the Mies van der Rohe Award and the arcVision Prize for Women in Architecture.

Arjan DINGSTE 

Director @UNStudio -THE NETHERLANDS

 

Arjan Dingste is Director and Senior Architect at UNStudio, responsible for the managerial, technical and aesthetic aspects of projects from concept to construction. He defines design strategies and manages external relations with clients and consultants in conjunction with internal project coordination. Having worked on several key projects of the office, such as the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, the Arnhem Central multimodal station, the Booking.com campus and several other complex projects, like mixed-use, hotel, commercial, public and large-scale infrastructure projects, Arjan has developed an integrated approach to design management and process management and buildability aspects of complex architectural geometries. Currently, Arjan is also responsible for the design process of the Cable Car in Gothenburg.

Recent awards of the office include CTBUH 2020 - Tall Building Renovation category, FIABCI Singapore Property Award 2019, Architizer A+Awards 2019 and 2018, Zumtobel Awards, Urban Developments & Initiatives and German Design Award, Urban Space & Infrastructure.

Christos PASSAS 

Associate Director @ZAHA HADID Architects – UK

Associate Director at ZAHA HADID – UK and Keynote Speaker at SHARE Athens 2019. He has worked at ZHA as a Senior Designer since February 1998 and has subsequently worked as Project Director on numerous projects and winning competitions. He received his Graduate Design Diploma in 1998 in Advanced Architectural Design at the Architectural Association, London. He teaches Parametric Design and Urbanism at the Architectural Association in London and is Guest DAAD Professor in the Dessau Institute of Architecture (HA) at Bauhaus, Dessau.

Milan DJURIC

President of Union of architects in Serbia

 

Milan Djurić is an architect and associate professor at the University of Belgrade - Faculty of

Architecture.He has participated in many international and national exhibitions (International

Architecture Exhibition, Venice; EXPO, Lisbon; Trimo architectural awards; European Architecture

Award ‘Mies Van Der Rohe’, etc.) where he received significant awards and recognition. As co-

founder of "Two: studio" he is the co-author of a large number of significant and recognized

architectural work of various typologies. He is the president of the Association of Architects of

Serbia and, he is active in international organizations of architects (UIA and ACE). Throughout his

professional career, prof. Djurić has built a network of experts and relevant institutions (academia,

public, NGOs and the business sector), both locally and globally. As a member of the working groups

of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and a USAID and NALED consultant, he participated in

the reform in the areas governed by the Law on Planning and Construction. He has been a member

of several international and national boards, councils and juries in the field of architecture.

Perparim RAMA

Founder @4M Group - UK  

 

Perparim Rama, the CEO and Founding Director of 4M Group, is an award-winning Architectural Designer and Conceptual Artist. He is the winner of the best bar design in the World award from World Interior News at Saatchi Gallery in 2013, in 2016 he has been shortlisted with his innovative Restaurant.Bar design concept in London UK. His work has been published in several international design magazines including the London Building Design Magazine and has been interviewed by BBC, CNN, BLOOMBERG, RAI, The Times Newspaper on Architecture and Urbanism.
